Local Peer Support groups

Need Support

Our peer support groups meet in cities around South Carolina on a monthly basis. The groups provide an upbeat place for individuals with spinal cord injuries and their family members to connect with other people who have experienced the same life-changing injury. The meetings are an excellent way for members to share information, ideas, and resources, while enjoying fellowship in a relaxed setting.

In addition to speakers and discussions on topics of interest, meetings also include social and recreational outings and special holiday dinners. Counselors from the South Carolina Department of Vocational Rehabilitation attend the meetings, and are available to meet one-on-one to discuss the agency's assessment and employment services. Occasionally meeting dates are changed, particularly around the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, so confirm the date with the group leader before attending a meeting for the first time.

Review the list of peer groups below and find one in your area.
