Mark your calendar! The 2012 Expo is taking place March 13 from 9 AM to 4 pm at the Brookland Banquet and Conference Center in West Columbia. The theme this year is Making an Impact. The Expo offers presentations and vendor displays about what's new in assistive technology, and is free and open to the public.
New this year is the Equipment Donation Drive.This is an unique opportunity to donate your used equpment and/or assistive technology so that someone else in need will benefit.

Contact any of the partner organizations in the S.C. Southeastern Technology Access and Reuse (S.C. STAR)Network. These organizations collect donated equipment, which is cleaned and refurbished for re-use. In some instances donation may be requested to cover the cost of inspection and cleaning.

While any of the above options may be used to find computers, one program specifically operates a computer recycling program that rebuilds donated computers for people with disabilities. A donation is required to cover the cost that goes into refurbishing the computers.
